we all love royal weddings :)

Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury, will conduct the 29 April wedding service… there are a few other details about the Queen’s speech and so on, but of course, what we’re interested in is the dress.
Elizabeth Emanuel's design
All designers are in a tizz about the dress of the century. Elizabeth Emanuel, who designed Diana’s fairy tale dress, has drawn a mock up of what she would create for Ms Middleton.
‘It’s entirely different from the Diana dress I designed, which was very much of the ’80s, but it’s still fitting for a royal occasion. It’s a much more modern dress, but romantic and out of the ordinary.’
Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel
Karl Lagerfeld, creative director at Chanel, went for something a little more Victorian. ‘The Victorian wedding dress, with a twist – high boots and open in the front.’ A little ‘out there’ perhaps. What would the queen say?
Gucci
Gucci’s design is more to our taste. We love the simple, classic lines.
‘I admire the balance Kate Middleton strikes between elegant and contemporary with her unmistakable style. For her, I had in mind clean lines, soft shapes and classic touches such as the boat neckline and distinctive train.’ – Frida Giannini, Gucci.
Monique Lhuillier
We really love this design, too. ‘The royal wedding will be magical. Kate’s dress should be a modern mix of the traditional and contemporary,’ says Monique Lhuillier.
Have you got a favourite? Who do you think should design the dress of the century?
